Big Cartel uses shipping profiles in order to charge shipping on orders which means we have to charge a flat rate for a wide variety of products.

Typically this leads us to charging slightly more than we generally would for shipping in order to make sure we've covered the shipping cost which may vary due to size, weight, or the distance the package has to travel.

Because our intent at Heart of a Hungry Hermit is to make our handmade goods as accessible as possible to everyone, we want to make sure we're charging as low a cost as possible for shipping as we can while still not losing money on our end.
